Don’t worry because we are sharing with you a very special list with the must-haves and practical tips for using them on your beach vacation. Here is what you always need to bring:
1. Sun Protection
First things first – you have to use appropriate sun protection! We all like to get tanned, but getting sunburned on your vacation can be a disaster. It doesn’t take much, especially if you have lighter skin to get sunburned. However, you can protect yourself by using appropriate sun protection. So, what should you look out for when using and choosing a sunscreen? Here are 3 quick tips:
- Getting a high SPF sunscreen won’t protect you from the sun as well as a sunscreen that covers both UVA and UVB rays.
- Speaking of SPF, you should choose a sunscreen with an SPF 30 protection and higher – but only if it covers both UVA & UVB rays. It would be a nice bonus if the sunscreen is waterproof as well.
- Make sure you re-apply your sunscreen every 2 hours to ensure that you will be covered at all times, especially when you are not covered up.
2. Sand-Proof Beach Towel
We all love the sandy beaches that take our breath away when we see them, right? However, no matter how beautiful the beach is, sand can be pretty tricky to shake off. Literally.
When sand starts sticking to your towel, it slowly finds its way from your towel to your beach bag, to your room and then into everything you brought. That’s why this summer we are recommending that instead of bringing your old beach towel, get yourself a sand-proof towel to the beach. Is there even such a thing? Yes, there is! And it’s called a hammam towel.
